On a very light note, I have a heart of an artist and I am passionate about everything I do. In my leisure time, I paint and write poetry. You can find a few of my paintings on Fine Art America via Pooja Alok.

My life is an open book; I share random pages of it with people who touch my heart. I started writing when I was 17, but all my writings have been reflection of my thoughts so were not shared anywhere. Those thoughts then turned into poetry. It is a pleasure sharing those thoughts, feelings and musings here. Hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it!

Some serious stuff – I am working as a Product Manager in a software company in India. I graduated in Management studies and have a post graduate degree in Finance from Mumbai, India.

  12. Hi, I’ve been reading more of your poems. Especially, haiku. They’re very good. I usually write free verse because they give me the freedom to do more. And I saw more of your art work too. You have talent. So, reach for the stars! What are your plans for the future?

    1. Thanks a ton! You totally made my day.. Not very sure about my future (sounds scary to me).. I generally plan for the following weak.. And as far as the next week is concerned, I am speaking at a conference in Seattle on XBRL. So for now my life revolves around technology for work and poetry and painting for fun.. May be someday things will be reverse, who knows (:
      Hoping to complete my book in December, so keeping my fingers crossed. Not been able to sit down seriously and complete it.. Only 3 chapters down!

  23. Hi, Pooja! It’s great to be connected to your blog. Lovely writings:) I have a petty question, though. How did you get to put the ‘rate’, ‘share’ and ‘like’ buttons right on your home(page)? I’ve always wanted to make that appear on each post when viewed ‘home’ , but they only do when you click each title. Thank you in advance for your response! Keep writing! 🙂
